Privacy Policy

How IT Break Com Pvt Ltd ("we", operator of AI Saathi) collects, uses, protects, and shares personal data, and your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP).

Last updated: 07 July 2026

Detailed clauses are provided in English; a translation is being prepared. The English version prevails.

1. Who we are

AI Saathi is an AI-SaaS platform operated by IT Break Com Pvt Ltd (registered office: A 118, Level IA, Sector 63, Noida, Uttar Pradesh 201301), providing AI tools and AI-token subscriptions to teachers, schools, principals, and parents.

For any privacy question or grievance, contact The Grievance Officer, IT Break Com Pvt Ltd at grievance@ai-saathi.in, or write to us at A 118, Level IA, Sector 63, Noida, Uttar Pradesh 201301.

2. Who this covers

This policy applies to everyone who uses AI Saathi — individual teachers, and school staff, principals, and parents using accounts, including teachers managed under an institution's subscription. Institutions are responsible for the accounts and seats they administer.

3. Data we collect

Account & profile data: name, email, password (stored only as a hash), role, and professional profile (board, subjects, grade band, preferred language).

Usage & subscription data: AI tools used, materials generated, AI-token consumption and balance, course progress, certificates, plan and billing status, and support interactions.

AI inputs: the prompts and context you submit to generate materials. You must not enter students' personal or sensitive data into AI prompts — use classroom context only.

Payment data: processed by our payment processor (Razorpay). We store order and subscription metadata and invoices, not full card details.

Technical data: minimal security and reliability logs (IP/user-agent may be stored in hashed form).

4. AI processing & AI tokens

AI Saathi is an AI SaaS: your prompts are sent to the configured AI provider(s) to generate teacher-facing materials, and each generation consumes AI tokens from your plan's allowance (which resets monthly).

We apply safety, grade-appropriateness, and content checks and require teacher review before classroom use. We do not use your prompts to train third-party foundation models beyond what is needed to return your response, per our processor terms.

5. Purposes & lawful basis

We process personal data to provide and operate the service, run subscriptions and AI-token metering, certify learning, process payments, ensure safety and security, meet legal obligations, and improve the product.

Under DPDP, processing is based on your consent (given at registration and for specific features) or other lawful grounds. You may withdraw consent at any time (see Your rights).

6. Sharing & sub-processors

We share data only with processors needed to run the service — hosting, AI providers, payment processing (Razorpay), email/notifications, and error monitoring — under contractual data-protection obligations. A current sub-processor list is available on request at support@ai-saathi.in.

We do not sell personal data.

7. Cross-border transfers

Some processors may operate outside India. Transfers are made consistent with DPDP and applicable safeguards. Contact us for details on data location.

8. Retention & erasure

We retain personal data only as long as needed for the stated purposes or as required by law (e.g., tax and payment records). On a verified erasure request, account personal data is anonymized while records required for legal retention are kept in de-identified form.

9. Your rights (DPDP Data Principal)

You may request access to, correction of, and erasure of your data, withdraw consent, and nominate a person to exercise your rights in case of incapacity.

Submit requests via Dashboard → Support, the Contact page, or grievance@ai-saathi.in. We respond within the timelines required by law.

10. Children's data

The platform is intended for adult users — teachers, school staff, principals, and parents — not for direct use by children, and we do not knowingly collect children's personal data. Parents use their own accounts and act on their own behalf.

11. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, audit logging, secret management, and continuous security monitoring. No system is perfectly secure; we maintain an incident-response and breach-notification process.

12. Cookies

We use essential cookies for sessions and security, and (only if enabled) preference and analytics cookies. See our Cookie Policy.

13. Grievance Officer

Grievance Officer: The Grievance Officer, IT Break Com Pvt Ltd. Email: grievance@ai-saathi.in. Address: A 118, Level IA, Sector 63, Noida, Uttar Pradesh 201301. We acknowledge and resolve grievances within statutory timelines.

14. Changes

We will post updates here and update the effective date. Material changes will be notified to registered users.
